Urban renewal / Renovation

Concept

New life within the city’s memory.

New uses are layered into the context of an old neighbourhood. This renovation in Nanjing’s Xiaoxihu supports cultural tourism while engaging with the existing urban fabric.

The existing scale and materials inform spaces where everyday surroundings and new activities can meet.
